Other places that are worth visiting on the Havelock Island include the Elephant Beach which used to be known for its sizeable population of elephants trained for timber lugging. This beach is perfect for swimming and snorkelling and is accessible via a short boat ride. For those feeling a little adventurous, Elephant Beach can also be reached via an adventurous hike through the forest. The Vijaynagar Beach area is known for its cafes serving freshly caught seafood as well as plenty of options for the vegetarians.
